the npc Vaieund has a quest where he asks for some items. i obtained the item, but vaieund would not accept it. i discarded the quest and re-triggered it, again trying to hand him the item he asked for, but again he would not accept it! Am i missing something, or is this just a broken quest?
I also noticed that the item vaieund requires, shows up as a weapon, with a damage and speed value, when it is actually literature!!! I tried equipping it to attack someone, but it cannot be held. Perhaps this has something to do with the quest not working. If anyone knows something i don't, feel free to tell me >o)

I did it some days ago and it worked fine.
edit: check your PM

ok, after consideration, it seems you are right. i will have to check it, but i think my post can be deleted. doh! >o)

It's nice to have a problem solved out in public - that way everyone else won't be left in the dark if they run into a similar issue.
My guess would be that you have to give the items one at a time, and in a certain order. I'm not sure if that NPC also has other quests to give out, but if it does and you have them, you might have to discard them so they don't interfere with one another. Do post back if you figure it out (http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/7151/pleasedhc3.gif)

sorry :-\ ...just wanted to avoid giving out quest hints on the public boards. Thought ppl dont like that...

Ehm, what Karyuu says is a compliment, so I don't know why you're saying sorry.
And I've done that quest from Vaieund too a few days ago and it worked fine.

You don't have to give out details :] I didn't, in the suggestions I posted. Was it any one of those, or something different?
*edited to add*
I didn't mean to imply irony or sarcasm - just saying that we prefer to see solutions to problems in the threads, as it can help other people as well.

My guess was that it was the wrong item.
