Title: Trainers
Post by: striker0055 on December 18, 2006, 06:06:18 am
Hi, I'm new to the game and have some questons.

I searched the forums and go tan idea that ifferent trainers level your skill and attributes depending on the NPC.

My question is are there same # of trainers, that will teach you to the highest attainable level, for each skill?
If no, will they implement them in future versions of PS?

For example
a person with level 10 sword skill wants to raise his level so he trains with a trainer and levels up

A person with a level 10 melee skill wants to level but there are no trainers who can help level him uup

Thanks

Not all skills are divided in equal trainable parts, and not all skills have the same trainable max at the moment. Though rest assured that Melee goes far over 10 even now :]

*edited to add*

More trainers and more skills will of course be added in the future.

Try looking in the arena or you might have to go to Ojaveda. there are also trainers scattered around. There are several helpful guilds around, if you ask politely you should be able to get the information you need. Trying to ask your questions in character is more likely to work than asking out of context so instead of asking who trains level 20 sword, ask who trains sword after Harnquist has taught me all he can. It has been a while for me so the example may be inaccurate but it gives the right idea.

is there a chance that in the future versions all skills will have the same max level?

(sorry for being annoying, I just can't choose between 2 weapon skills) :P

It is likely that long before that happens there will be a character wipe and you will have to start from scratch. For the moment sword goes the highest as far as I know.

Remember that skills are not identical. Fighting with daggers is a very different thing than fighting with axes ... at least it should be ::) Daggers are faster but do less damage per hit, while axes are slow but cause a lot more damage. I do hope it will be like this in the future anyway, right now .. if you just want to be the strongest there is only one right choice.

I won't spoil what that is on here though ;)

So in the future will all skills have the same max levels?

No need to ask the same question two times :] *referring to a deleted thread*

There is likely to be the same max for all skills in the future - at least I personally don't see a reason as to why not.
