I setup an experimental teamspeak server for us planeshift players. The ip is 74.139.158.210:8767
-
It has been tried before, but I hope this time it suceeds :)
-
Hey miadon I saw you stop in a few times today, try and get the word out!
My characters name is Taired Salatel
-
I don't like it...
How could you RP properly when dwarves and enkis and diaboli are running around with annoying British accents :P
-
how rude :o :p. Well don't have to RP in teamspeak, just social chat like IRC but with mic. Altough I do understand people who wish not to associate their character with their voice. :)

In that case, sure, I might stop by to wow you with my exotic mid-atlantean accent. So long as it's purely OCC (imitating one my characters actually makes my throat sore... :P)

Ahahah! I'm so stopping by.
-
and you can be annoyed by my "annoying british accent" :p

Why the laughter, Kay? My Irish-American accent can be a very... dangerous... thing for women to be around... :P
And what part of Britain are you from, Miadon? So long as it isn't anywhere ending in '-shire', '-sex' or '-don' you should be able to avoid my wrath...
-
I'm well aware :P Irish accents are one of the bestest - thus my planning on stopping by.

I come from Bromley wich is part of lonDON and in Kent.

Except Donegal and Dublin(Sorry to say emerald but it is.) which are, as far as I know, the only two you might find.

Ah, but that's the beauty of it; see, I don't have a Dublin accent. I'm just American enough to avoid the tick-tongued dub accent, and just Dub enough to avoid the piercing nasal American accent... :P
Although my hodge-podge mixture of trans-atlantic slang and cultural voice inflections makes me sound weird sometimes, I think. Unique, but weird...
But enough about my amazing voice. Let's talk about my amazing wit... ;D

Heh its my server and im mostly irish :D

Hi,
Pretty interesting possibility :) I was just there myself, testing a bit. Although I'm not a native english speaker, was quite nice. Worked well too, I didn't encounter any problems. Could be really fun with more people online.
Thanks again for the server.
Greetings,
- Cherppow

-
:'( always hope.
-
I'll pop by sometime... East Anglian accent with a dash of American (due to talking to Constrabus for over a year lol).
-
:'( always hope.
Don't worry, all you need is chocolate.
-
It was a pleasure to speak to you guys yesterday and alot fun, even with the joker.
@emeraldfool - As I said, to my ears you have a mostly American accent with a dash of irish. Try hitting that mic with a hammer... that always fixes everything for me, who knows it might even fix those conspiracy's too
@Miadon - Miadon, you have what I call a true english accent. Thanks for the links.
@slaytar - You say your mostly irish?, I hear 100% american.

Psch, don't blow my mystique man :P
Besides, It depends on my mood...
And your ears are jaundiced...

Even tough it didn't really become very popular I have decided to semi-revive it on one of Teamspeak's public servers.
server:
voice.teamspeak.org:10060
channel:
Planeshift
channel password:
enki
Because its a public server the channels can't be registered and so if someone leaves the Planeshift channel and there is no one else in there, the channel gets deleted. So if you join and the Planeshift channel is not there feel free to remake it.
-
I would go there, if I had a mic :D/me makes a note about buying one
-
You can always use a cheap pair of headphones as a mic in a pinch. A trick i lernt as a DJ years ago ;)
-
;D Did have TS, I'll look it up again :P
;) Hope there is something to speak about though xD

This is true. Microphones and speakers can be substituted for one another if you wire them up right. I know people who use 12" speakers as mics for bass drums so that they capture ultra low frequencies.
-
Oooo, TS...That's half decent.
I might drop by sometime. I go through mics like I go through air, though.

So if I said I live in Hertfordshire...
