Hi everyone :)
I thought it was time to stick some of the stuff i've been doing recently (and not so recently) up here. Here is some of my newest/best stuff which i managed to dig up.
3D
(All made in blender or wings)
First off, some klyros city stuff:
Shazzer:

Non ps stuff:
ok, a small project i did to see if i could get some more realistic stuff. My first completely blender only project :
Big Image, Brighter light (http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/346/artistsinspiration10bp4.jpg)
Normal Image, Darker light (http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/3817/artistsinspiration11ma5.jpg)
A stage from a gig i went to:

And lastly, a robot animation i made. Click here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNV33HBjxTg&eurl=)
2d stuff coming soon... (hopefully)
comments, suggestions etc

i love the artist desk thing... amazing

I liked the robot thing, but it seemed a little slow.
The "artist's inspiration" thing is very good and my favorite of the bunch. The problems I can see are minor, so don't think I'm tearing it up. I'm just trying to point things out ;)
There is a lack of shadows underneath the table and the painting supplies. Things don't quite look like they're sitting on the table or attached to the wall. Maybe there isn't much that can be done, I don't know.
I was going to comment on the strange shading of the jar, but now I realize that it's because the window has those wooden parts making shadows.
The paint tubes look too angled, they either need more polygons or to be smoothed. Also, the shadow on the table leg has the same problem.
Where the floor meets the wall looks too clean and sharp. Usually there's also some kind of molding along the bottom, whether rubber or wood. I don't know how it would be done with that kind of wall though.
I like the "beaming light" from the window, and how the wood across it leaves shadows.
Overall, it's way better than anything I can do in Blender yet.

Good work mate :) what would make you present us with some more of your work? ;D

Hi all,
i forgot to post this up here yesterday:

@ Narure and Proglin
cheers, thanks for the encouragement :)
@Pizzasgood
cheers for the pointers. I had noticed the shadows before, but i couldn't fix them easily. *rast feels inspired to go and have another go*
thanks :)

Nice little collection you have started Rast :)
Great work.
Thats a great starting base for a nice building, any plans for it ?
-
thanks laragorn :) the building isn't really very well suited for games (mammoth poly count), so the only thing i could really use it for is for pre-rendered stuff. But hey, maybe i could do another rendered scene thing *starts wondering*

IMHO it is too strong as a shadow anyway: in real life light is emitted by any object, that's why that shadow shouldn't be that dark.
This is the only bad thing I can find, it's really a good good work, congratulations! \\o//

the ones with the desk are cool, I love the way the light from the window hits the whole object.
What you could improve are the tubes with paint, they don't fit much into the picture, I think you need to change texture style or the use of colours on them.
As for the paladin on, it looks pretty nice, but I think the shoulderplates should be much smaller so he doesn't lok like an airplane :p, and the balls that he holds, mabe should be a bit more like it's burning, currently it looks like it's some kind of ball flying towards it's hands.
Hope this helps a bit :)
good work with everything else you made though, it looks really cool :]
