Title: Hello Commune!
Post by: Golden Aegis on March 03, 2003, 02:46:56 am: Hi, name\'s Golden Aegis (well already can se that). Im new to the planeshift universe, and hope that I can get along with everyone.

I have some idea\'s, but Im hesitant to post them. I\'ve read through the website, and have gathered as much information as I could, but I was wondering if the community can help out and give me more information (before I post something and make a tool out of myself!)

Oh, and the Golden Aegis is actually a gold goat skin that was owned by Zeus and carried by Athena. It was the divine, and impenatrable, shield. (some side info)

If anyone would be so kind as to point out relevant sites to learn more, or be kind enough to tell me anything that they have first-hand experienced, I would be gracious. Hopefully I wont be a newb for too long :D.

I\'m not really sure what information you need, but as long as you don\'t post things that have to do with:

Pking
something about PS being free
nothing that appears on the first page of any forum
new player races

I\'m sure it will be ok

I myself am quite new to the PlaneShift community, and lack the insight Kiern has about being here... However, I can suggest some things not to do:

1.) Do not ask silly questions that have already been answered fifteen times over.

2.) Do not make too many spelling errors and n0 1337 5p34k, otherwise you\'ll get flamed as a newbie for quite a while.

3.) Do not spam useless topics/posts.

I know those are rules most Forums (and one Kiern already mentioned) follow for video games, and are common sense on the internet, but tensions run a bit high here, so do bring a Flame-Resistant Shield. ;)

So welcome, welcome, welcome. Oh, and do enjoy your stay at this side of the nut house!

Wasn\'t always that way, only recently has every topic seemed to turn into a pointless arguement, I don\'t know why :(

Our problem is that our perfectionism is increasing just as fast as the quality of what we have. :-)

I really hope it is today, though. It will be a relief to the whole team to have it out there finally.

Never-the-less, I do hope it comes out ASAP.
