For those that missed the wedding, here is a quick one minute glimpse of how it went.
I highly suggest you download the high quality file, looks alot better and crisper than the youtube rendering.
As mentioned on youtube, i would have made the video much longer, and had many highlights, if only i had more space on my hard drive.
Currently I have more than 60 gigs of pure source file that i need to edit down for other projects i have.
Because of this i could only take a small snipit of the wedding.
It was very beautiful and i hope you all enjoy it.
A special congratulations again to my good friend Marqsaynt and his lovely wife semutara.
May you have the best of times.

Enjoy my friends :)

But ultimately Marqsaynt and Semutara are to thank for making such a beautiful wedding.
And yea... youtube is down, sorry :(
They are fixing their message system i think.

[I'm downloading the movie right now. Thanks!]

Very nice vid mate. I bet the server was groaning under the weight of all those items lol.
On a production note, Why dont you use 1st person when capturing? That would make it more like youre the man behind the camera rather that the camera behind the man :-\
Anyway

Its always great when Planeshift gets a new wedding! I hope it went well guys, and sorry I missed it :'(

In certain videos, i'm in first person in nearly the whole vid.
The only reason i was third person, was so i could capture more.
I zoomed out a bit too.
If i was in first person, i couldn't see as much, and survey the area.
I wanted peope to see it all, the whole area.

some (probably unwanted ;)) advice, if you are in 1st person, just stand further away lol.
Also, I suggest you try filming some in a 16:9 widescreen ratio, just change your display options ;)

Nice Video Datruth! I just managed to watch it as I was round a friends house. But yes, another great video to add to your collection ;)
One thing, not TOO many shots of the bride and groom :( Needed to film them a little bit more I think. :)

Whats the song?

Yea, i'm sorry croconil... :(
Your absolutely right.
Next time i'll be sure to clear up some more hard drive space for the wedding.
I hope marqsaynt will forgive me for it's short length.
Nonetheless, i still loved making it :)

Oh and the song is:
DHT ~~ Someone
[The song is VERY VERY VERY GOOD, i only showed a snipit of it, it gets MUCH better.
If you liked the snipit, download the whole song, you'll be amazed.]
Thanks for watching the vid narure

I loved it. I would say it was your best by far (if not only becuase that song is so beautiful) if it was a bit longer. I was anticipating another epic, had pop corn and everything ;). One thing is the tags. I know its nice to have peoples names in the movie but it looks so much more pro if they aren't there. I just want to know if anyone around here knows of an editor that gives more control than windows movie maker, be able to make subtitles etc. because i could see some amazing movies made by this guy if there is.
-
The only thing with removing the tags in that vid, as there wasn't many shots of the Bride/Groom, it would have been hard to tell who's who, as there were so many people there.
-
You can go to Planeshift, go to the options, and go to graphical options.
Then you can remove all tags from people.
I purposefully had tags on though, to show who was there.
But your right, the tags did get in the way.
Just because there were soo many people lol
I didn't get what you meant by subtitles though.
I do know of a program, that literally lets you do almost anything in vids.
I've gotten the program and i'm working with it now too, it's very hard to use, but i'm learning.
It's called sony vegas:

Once i learn to use it properly, i hope my video effects will get bigger and better.
Thank you soo much for your kind sentiments narure, they meant alot to me. :D

And how did you find out about that program :P
By subtitles he means text at the bottom that either says what people say or explains the scene, its done it the same way you do the scrolling text in you webcam hope vid ;)

I stumbled on it, in a video, it was called "sandwich of death", it's a very nicely produced video.
That's when i saw it's real power, and ever since then i've wanted to use it.
And ya, you can add subtitles in windows movie maker, but it looks a bit sloppy.
Vegas does a better job of it.

Well i know you can have the big text flying in the middle of the screen but i was hoping for somthing that just appears on the bottom. Im downloading vegas now... a very, very, very long process.

Nice job. Vegas is nice for doing basic video audio. I had some good bit of use of it when I worked helping set up webcasts for a company recently. It's not so hard once you get used to it. I would suggest checking out the Sony Vegas site and check out some of the instructional videos on it. I prefer to use Final-Cut Pro myself for any video editing though. Although, it's a bit more expensive unless you happen across it on the web as a torrent which I don't recommend but hear it works too.
