Title: Super Bowl
Post by: LARAGORN on January 15, 2007, 01:01:34 am
Who's going all the way??

By the time you read this post it is possibly down to 4 teams. Who is your pick? and why?

Superbowl? thats american football isnt it?

Who are the teams playing and who won last year?

I would bet on whoever won last time if they are still in the competition.

Eh? I always get confused between American Football and Baseball... and Basketball. And basically anything ostensibly foreign...

I do know that the Cinncinnati Bangles exist... 'cause I was born there...

Well, basically, if we wanna bet here, we either take it online... or
I drive about 7-8 hours to Las vegas, been there alot of times.

But yea, you can just go right outside to bet lol ;)  :D

Hey emerald, seriously put down a 100 dollar bet on the saints, they are considered the underdog right now so you'll get a good ratio.
Then when you win, watch your money quadruple(is that a real word lol).

I'm telling you guys, saints are going all the way!!!!

I'd love to see the Saints win... I left a lot if blood and sweat in that city, and it's great to see the place rising from the ashes.

I'm gonna say the Pats will win it though... Pats vs. Bears 24-21... although I think I'll place money on New Orleans anyways.

Ahem... Ireland isn't in America. We don't use dollars :P

As for superbowl gambling... I'm not even sure if I can watch the superbowl, even with upgraded cable, let alone get specific details about exactly what I'm betting on... (All I know is the Saints are from New Orleans, which was leveled by a hurricane. Somehow that don't sound promising...)

My prediction is starting to look pretty good now considering I made it with no clue as to the standings. Is this the year a Manning finally gets a Super Bowl ring?

I'd say no, but then again my prediction was the Colts were going to get slaughtered by the Patriots, so....

It always is.

You know...come to think of it, you're right.  At least recently.

Most of Vegas gives the Colts by 7, over/under around 48.5

It's not psychic power, anyone can see that the Colts are going to win.

The only thing the bears have is a solid defense, they have an average/below average QB, and they can't run the ball worth anything.
It's giong to be an Easy win, The Colts have a strong Defense, and they can Rush you all day long.

Atleast my second pick will win, oh well, the saints TOTALLY ruined themselves, the bears didn't win, the Saints lost.
3 Fumbles and shotty passing, ruined it for the saints.

But yea, everyone can see, Colts will take it all the way

Datruth - after your "Saints are gonna win" jinx, you've got me worried about the Colts  ;)

My suggestion, pick the Colts and the Under.  I know, kind of counter intuitive to pick the Colts to cover the spread and the under at the same time.  But I think Grossman is going to fall apart and the Bears score precious few, while the Bears defense will wear down the Colts offense and keep them in the low 20's.  I think Manning's gonna get his ring this year!

Lol sorry about that quin, saints lost the game, bears didn't win it.

Oh and neko, the saints were the underdog, it's over now, colts and bears are pretty evenly matched, win-loss wise.
The reason i'm counting on the colts, is the bears qb is horrible, and rex will prolly throw a few interceptions.

I've already placed a 40 dollar bet with 5 friends, the only five who would take the bet lol ;D
They really think the bears will win... ohh i'm gonna mke alot of cash lol.
