Title: Duel Challenges -- Is there a maximum amount at once??
Post by: drah on January 15, 2007, 05:37:07 pm
I've got a solution to the old ... "how do you get everyone in a big group all challenged at the same time"... but wanted to know if there are any limitations, particularly server-side... for the number of people any one person can challenge at once.

Is it technically possible for 20 people to challenge 20 people?? (I can take care of how it'll be done... but I don't want to waste time if it's technically not possible!!!)

(To avoid any confusion... this is nothing to do with the Yliakum Warriors' League I've recently posted about!! ... it's more for future events.)

I think it is possible .. I know it is possible with groups of 5 vs 5 since I've organised and participated in this.

I've done it in groups of 5 vs 5 before and it works just fine.  It's annoying as heck though, especially given the penalties involved if one too many people decline your challenge by accident.

I've tried 1vs13, the only problem was some kran who started attacking me before I challenged everyone -.-'

Yea, it's possible to do 20 versus 20.

I believe the limit of number of challenges is either 3, or 5.

It's giong to be really hard to do though.

Form a queue... the person at the front steps to the side of the queue... and is challenged by everyone.

Once all challenges are accepted, they move to another, new queue.

Repeat for each player at the front of the first queue until you have transferred everyone over.

Of course.. I know I'm optimistic and that I'm making it sound easy.. when it'll probably be a nightmare in practice!!

Just digging around for future ideas. ;)
