Happy new year from the PlaneShift Team! 2007 will be a great year for PlaneShift, because the engine is finally stable enough to add REAL good features and build on top of what we have created until today. Elina "Karyuu" made this fresh new web site for us! Many thanks to Karyuu and her special 2d talent. The sidebar menu is much more detailed and allows visitors to quickly find the information they seek. There are several new sections, and much of previous content has also been spellchecked.
Have fun exploring the site!

Sounds good. But lots of new features for the game also means... lots of downtime, especially for Mac users :( Still, I can't wait to see what shows up. (More Oja please! Before I go to college and might not be able to play!)

Blimey! I was just on there a little while ago, and it was the old site ha!
Must have changed it like in the last few mnutes or somthing...
But I'm looking aorund it now, so far seems alot nicer than the original website :)
A good update definatly.
And nice t hear that the new engine will be beneficial.

I love how the new page has been centered, i wished the last one would have been.
I still liked the flash of the dwarf, and the tavern more, i hope that's saved somewhere.
But overall, the new one is better, i liked the about page, and again i loved the body being centered.
Hopefully, the flash, on the last one, will be shown again, maybe on a seperate page.

I'm not ready to give up my freedom yet. :D
The site is definitely an improvement over the old one. My favorite part are the much better images on the "Races" page, which now include both genders, as opposed to the old grainy and pixelated ones. The style reminds me of the old Ryzom page

The ornamental bar(s) that runs along the left-side menu and the way it rounds at the bottom. But it's a good thing. :)

Very nice. Clear to read, yet at the same time graphically beautiful. Karyuu must've put a lot of work into this. Proud to have such talented people on the team. :) That goes for everyone who have helped make PlaneShift what it is.

Personally, I am particularly fond of having the Support section. It's about time people could be forwarded to planeshift.it/policies.html instead of being referred to the "cryptic" forum :) Plus we now have the cool Fan Art section, so there's more motivation for you guys to show off your lovely work. Post in the forums, and if we really like it we'll kidnap it away and showcase it to the world ;) There are also a couple of new images under Concept Art. And thanks to Aendar and Sangwa, the Guild page under the Community section finally makes sense as well.

I think karyuu should be hand fed cookies and worshipped for her awesome work in this community and the website is just another thing under her belt that shows how dedicated she is.
:sorcerer: I love the site karyuu! User friendly, all the information you can get on planeshift, and it looks fantastic. It is a great improvement of what was. You have out done yourself and for this I applaud you.

I'll also commend the site redesign...quite a nice update. :)
The hilarious thing is that the design will only get better and better as the commmunity grows while the game improves by leaps and bounds. Just think of how much more there'll be to draw from come Happy New Year '08.

I've looked how this has changed over the last few months and I like the way the site is set up, centered and designed. It's easy navigatable and there's no more flash \o/.
Good with all the new sections added (I'm thinking of taking some pretties screenshots when I get time :p, but I have to give Miadon some first xD.) I'll be exploring this a bit more :)
And I'm going to a party today so no screenshots for either of you :p

Just one comment: it is extremely heavy to download (even if I have a super duper connection at work). It took really a lot of time if it is not cached. Maybe some image can be lighter?
Another comment is that I think the download link should not be in the menu under account. I would create an entry on its own since it is one of the things players ask most "where can i download"? and that is not on the first page and not clear in the menu

It surely is beautiful, I got a very pleasent suprise when I was at work showing the IT guy what a web redirection was (hes not the best at IT :P ) I just picked that site because I dont really remember many ;)
As for it being a little on the heavy side, yeah, even at work it was a little harsh on the download side. Wont be visiting it from home im afraid. although i can sit at work and go 'ooooooohhhhh' :D

Hate to be the original web designer. Not only is there the insult of his work being replaced, but there's about 15 comments of how much better it is... :P

One thing I like is now you can see male and female drawings for each race (except kran of course). I see female klyros for the first time! \\o//

The site loaded fairly slowly for me when I checked just after Talad's announcement, and I don't have a dialup connection. I think the main problem is that everyone's viewing the site now and the server can't quite keep up. First of all, great work on the site, very pleasing for the user and the eye.
I haven't been around for a while and I don't know what has been going on, so I assume the picture on the main page is a screenshot? Looks very nice, but the tower caught my eye. I wonder what impressions it has in addition to the base architecture of the kran? For it resembles my unofficial fan art challenge entry quite much (spikes on the top and the overall look):

Nice on all aspects, except for one: I think this site is pretty heavy for dial-up users (My 312Kbps DSL took some time to load the images), perhaps it is possible to optimize the file sizes for the images without losing quality?
