this rp is going to be rather selective at fist, then broaden out when we realy kick it off.
if you are interested in this rp. there are a few requirements.
•rp experiance with me or Farren [not required, but its better for us to see if your a good rper]
•charicter back ground must be in line with the rp
•only a limited number of lawfull or good alighned charicters will be admited. you will have a better chanse with a
nutral or evil alighment. [however, good are essential for a certan part of the rp]
•must have a desire to have fun with this rp. [no power mongering, or forceing others to conform with this rp.]
contact me if you are intresed via pm.
include charicter's name and alts. and alighment [good, evil, nutral ect.]

Ehh ... how are we supposed to know if our character backgrounds are in line with the RP if we don't have the slightest clue what this all is about?
I understand that you don't want to divulge into that on the forums but then this whole topic is rather pointless. If you want to keep as much of it in-game as possible it's probably best to find your participants in an in-character way there as well. If you do want to use this to get people interested I think you should at least give a bit of the storyline out and whether it is set or will be let to unwind on it's own and we'll all see where it goes to.

little tip, start the rp ingame, not in the forums, so anyone who gets involved, is legitimately involved. try to keep the forums as where you put together what happend ingame. my expierience shows that works alot better.. and funner =)

i realize that im not giveing out a lot of information to the rp. as farren said, if you are in the least bit interested contact me. in game, farren and i are looking for people who might be likely canidates to join [im geting a new computer soon-ish ^^] for a wile, im keeping this raher privet, when we have enough people, we will post a bit more information on the rp for the public to read. ill update on this thread. wile there are no straight forward clues yet, there are a few you can find from some of my previous posts. untill next time,

this is a bit of a teaser of the rp, for those who would like a vague idea of what is going on, im not giving out a lot of info, but it will give you something to think about. its a bit of an ongoing story line, it will end up explaining the just of the rp
the small enki cub ran through the streets, clutching a loaf of bread under one hand and leading a young demorian. a shop keep was close in pursuit, the bread had been pilfered from his store. "come back here you thieving stray!" he yelled "hurry up" the cub said to the demorian "hes catching up!" the pursuit ended when the cub darted into the shade of a tree, when the shop keep reached it the cub was gone. the shop keep caught his breath and leaned on the tree "little mongrel" he huffed and began his walk back to his shop. the moment he was out of sight the cub and his friend seemed to walk out of the tree's shadow "that was close" said the cub and turned to run, he bumped into a figure. "oops! sorry" he shouted as he ran off.

Alecin watches the cubs actions and smiles to himself, remembering his childhood.

it would sound nicer tho if you used differnt words for the same meaning, like instead of overly using shop keep, why not, the merchant, or the barter...er? lol just some friendly advice... i could be wrong.

well Im pretty sure I remember how to make a level 10 alchemist.....Duraza is one so thats why coneitic mentioned me....exactly level 10 actually lol.....Im not the one to play the part...[too much going on already] but if someone needs to know how to make one Id be happy to help

and on that note i would like to say, the alchemist position has been filled. still looking for regular fighter/mage charicters. same requirements as before.

in responce: you know that one word in the title, big? i ment it. i am hoping to give this rp a good run.
ill admit i am going a bit over bord on my rp, but its my first and i realy want it to be fun, and more freeform then just a script, the forum is just a bunch of information and discution on how the rp should go.
sorry for the triple post =/ just sliped my mind this time.

Big for who? Most people dip in and out of these things and making a forum for RP info is just asking for OOC knowledge to be used IC. I havent seen anything on this RP at all.

the reson i made the bord is actualy the reson you said i shouldent. i have it set up so people who i bleave to be actualy comited to the rp will see the more inportant info, and those i think will just drop out see the general stuff, how to rp the basics of the rp and such. it is far easyer for me this way sence i have limeted time online now and can't spend time doing pms or tells in game.
and by big i mean i put a lot of effert into it and feel rather proud of it. it might be moveing to slow for some people involved, i understand if you are complaining about that, but the trueth is, i only have a few involved and i am not sure if i can pull it off with so few. it takes a wile to agust the rp for less people and i am hopeing more will express interest. in reality, the rp got its first big puvlic involvment, and no one has expressed interest. i am thinking of just killing the rp, due to lack of interest.

I don't think thats the best way to do it. If your really proud of your rp and worked hard on it by all means continue on and keep rping it in ps. If it really is good the more you do it the more people will be intrested and get involved. Kill it now and thats a lot of time wasted planning. Besides you can't really force intrest in an rp. If people just don't like it they can ignore it because the game is supposed to be fun for everyone. But trust me the more you do it you'll definately find some people who want to invole themselves in it. Its really hard especially when you just start it but keep at it. Also remember this game is supposed to be fun. Don't stress out over the rp just have fun doing it. I think its that whole "fun" factor that makes people want to rp.

Yes people will join as they see it in action. The best way to convince people its moving forward is to create a guild for it, if a guild doesnt fit in with the rp then make it secret and use it to keep things organised.

Don't kill it off Irick, even if you lack the time at the moment. I don't know much about the RP to tell you the truth and haven't had much time in-game lately, but i'd definitely be interested in hearing more, whether it be IC or OOC. So if you find the time PM me a few detaiils, i'd like to get involved.

the rp has been remoded a bit to allow a bit of plot. if you would like to have a charicter included with the plot, pm me. a hint to those who want to get a bit more involved in the over all plot, Irick's school was founded around half way through this plot revamp. hopeing to get this damn thing up and out there soon. im tired of keeping it too secret so here is a big hint. mainly the rp consists of people with abilitys that are centered to shadows. the reson it is still vary basic is im trying to figure out abilitys that would be usefull in rp, but not consitered god-mody. another big hint to those interested, Irick might let slip how to gain abilitys to those who he trusts and respects, or, he might use an ability or two if you pick a fight with him, giveing your charicter a chance to learn and copy the move.
needless to say, it is finaly simi-public.
hope those invloved will have fun.

well, its finally time that i say to myself "aww screw it" and post the details of the rp. the role play was going to be an experiment to see if people can take a good role play idea and still play it without completely god mod-ing their characters.
the details are as follows: the role played by the main characters was to be that of people with unnatural abilities liked with manipulation of the shadows. these were to be called Umbramancers [because _everyone_ knows what a Necromancer is, and i like Latin]. the basic abilities were/are hiding in the shadows with unnatural skill and forming a dark shadow around yourself [effects much like darkness glyph]. the forum for the RP is still up at http://umbramancers.jconserv.net though it has gone rather flat, ill see about making everything public on the forum. i was hoping to use it as an out of the way place to form good abilities [ones that sound good but do not over power] but it kinda died on me and may have been a bad choice.
feel free to role play this out if you like, i just ask that you try to keep it to mortal levels in respects to the way this was suppose to play out.
none of the "you can't move, breath, or think because i roxors" crap.
