Title: "H okyba da Ojaveda" & "Dermorian Lords"
Post by: Quantus on January 22, 2007, 10:03:09 am
After the glorious battle and much honour on both sides there was a peacefull next morning. All Enkidukais are freed now.
But I'm asking myself and you: "Is this the end of slavery or are there some enslavers left? How does it go further on?"

[OOC:
The technical guildwar still exists :)

[I know that this isn't a new roleplay, but there where many people asking me: "Is this the end or will it continue?"
If it will continue it cannot be the same circumstances as the last ones. So, if there is a wish to continue, where should this thread placed better than here?]

It seems like an OOC thread; you weren't posting from your character's perspective. I would generally wait to create a thread when you have actual content - so basically when further ideas on the RP are already in mind and ready to be shared. Right now it's just "Well, this is over... now what?" :) Whoever has answers to that question should be the one  to start the "sequel."

We decided the war would be the end and we disbanded the guild. I don't think we will be doing the same again.

We win, the War is over!!!

I hope the peace and free hold yet on in Ojaveda.

I am the next time in Ojaveda.

[My post and question may be deleteled, moved, merged or whatever. It was a really exiting RP over some weeks. Thanks a lot to the "Dermorian Lords" for beeing so bad]

[I enjoyed the parts I was allowed to participate in and made a couple of new friends as well.  It would have been nice to have been able to take part in the ending, but such is life.]

Dermorian Lords aren't the only enslavers. And I think the real question is, are these racist, slave type RPs something that PS wants to hold, even if it may occur in real life. Everytime we have one, players leave. You could argue that those players weren't able to seperate RP and RL, but is it worth it to lose any players over something like this?

If people can't realise it's only RP then I see that as there problem, I tried explaining this to one or two people who had issues with it and after failing I chose to ignore them and keep the RP as far from them as I could.

Can't be any fairer than that.

I agree that there is a place for such an RP... but I think there is a fine line on which to balance it. A line maybe no one has truly discovered yet.
