I previously only played PS for a short time on my last character as I was playing too many online games so stopped.
However I've returned and want to make a "hardcore roleplayed" character. I want it to be a craftsman who seeks to become the best at making quality goods, but also a merchant who is skilled in wit and great at selling his wares for a good price.
I'm just wandered if I'd be prohibited if I played the Ylian race instead of a Dwarven race when mining - due to Dwarves having bonuses that Ylian don't?
I could play a dwarf but I found it harder to roleplay one before.

Any race can be good at anything with practice. I don't think the Dwarves have bonouses in mining, maybe just strength to carry more. I find Ylians to be more than adequate for mining save the lack of strength but I'd take something I could roleplay properly over statistical bonouses any day.

Yes that is what I was referring to, the amount you can carry.
But hey I suppose it just means I have to work harder. And working harder means more realism - so more roleplaying capability.
Thanks for the advice.
