Title: Is there a reason that the Fragnetics server has "failed" for the last week?

I'm new and haven't even created a person or anything. My eyes have never seen the PS world because I can't log in!  The Fragnetics server has "failed" for the last week.  Did I do something wrong while installing?

Do you have the latest 0.3.018 client? There was a new release just a few days ago :]

Do you have a router or fire wall ?

Yes, I do have the latest client.  I do have a firewall in the router, but I'm sort of a loser when it comes to that kind of computer stuff, so I have no idea what it does.

I have the same problem, I download the file PlaneShift_CBV0.3.018.exe, install it.  After I update with the updater, everything it's ok.  In the Login's page, the server Fragnetics is always "Faied"
I check my windwos Firewall, it's disabled, on my routeur I foward the port 7777 for my local IP(192.168.123.xxx), I check the server status in the webpage, the server had about 175 players, I try to ping laanx.fragnetics.com, I have a reply successfully.  I create a account to log the game and my account is active.  When I look in the upper left of the login page, I see the version of the game but it's 0.3.0.17. I am not suppose to be with the 0.3.018 version (I never install any old version).  The updater doesn't update properly ????

I have a Windows XP Home with SP2
Intel Centrino Duo 1,8 Ghz, 1 Go RAM Dual
Nvidia 7300, 512 Mo graphic card
100 Go Hard Drive.

Anyone can help me please, I don't know what to do now ....

Try uninstalling, and reinstalling again without running the updater.

naerra: PlaneShift requires UDP port 7777 in order to connect to the server, so if you do have a firewall and/or router, you'll have to figure out how to enable this port. Look to the router manual, or firewall documentation. Use Google to find these if you don't have them nearby.

I uninstall all the game, reinstall it and I can see the server and I can connect on the server.  But do I need to update or I can leave the update later and play normaly ?

There's no major need to update right now, especially since it seems to be giving problems. Don't worry about it if you can log in and play :]
