Title: Silverweave Metal
Post by: Ecuetas on February 17, 2007, 02:50:18 am
After how rare Silverweaves are, I believe if it is not already emplimented that we the crafters should be allowed to craft silverweave metal. By all means have the self crafted silverweaves strike less harder, but far longer lasting. instead of /10 have it around /8 or something to that factor maybe even /7 so that the ability to craft 300/300 makes up for it's less slash ability

I guess it would be an alloy of silver, steel and something else, but I'm not a metallurgist so this is just a guess.

You do know that silverweave weapons are bugged?  They aren't supposed to be so powerful.

I don't believe they are bugged Zanzibar, there are swords that hit as high as 7. I think it's well to be honest, someone saying they are bugged so everyone stops looking for them, then wow, guess what. The person who started the rumour has the advantage. look at the jumps in swords. /1.5 to /7 common, it makes sense that the silverweaves would hit as hard as /10. That's why I said as well, lower the / but allow the higher quality. and lordraleigh, if they are crafted, I haven't found the receipt. Im max metallurgy as of last night. And still can't combine anything but coal and iron.. . . Coal. . . And IRON.. . . the reciept for a stand short sword is getting old. We need divercity. Wow I can craft a sword made out of steel. Hmm great. Can you craft a Dark Broad sword? NO. because they only have one receipt, and another thing. They're adding new skills when the old ones aren't even implimented yet. Hello. Get to work on the ones that are already in game. Don't add new ones when we can't even work on Body Dev, or Assasin weapons for that matter. In all, if I could post everything I had on my wish list, that would be on looooooonnnnnng wish list.

---Sorry devs if you became insulted, the puns were merely to add comical relief in the statement--

I don't believe they are bugged Zanzibar,
Tell it to the devs.

The person who started the rumour has the advantage.
Devs don't play the game the same way you and I do; they have nothing to gain by spreading such rumours.  Oh, wait.  Were you accusing me of spreading rumours?  Cause that's just rude of you.

Wow I can craft a sword made out of steel. Hmm great.
Right, because the devs don't care about updating the game.  They must really hate us.

Can you craft a Dark Broad sword? NO.
By "no", I assume you mean to say "not yet"?

They're adding new skills when the old ones aren't even implimented yet.
If a skill isn't implimented, how can it be considered old?

---Sorry devs if you became insulted, the puns were merely to add comical relief in the statement--
What puns?  I don't see any puns in your post.

ok ok ok I submit to you on this one zanzibar, and common, just if you read that in the way I intended it to, it would be makin you laugh, but, no long Body Dev. How long has that been around? And still not implimented, it's been trainable for level 1, for some time. And not implimented. Those are the type of things. That alot of the players are saying, need to be added into the game. Hey, the winch, rumoured to be a merchants city. Awesome, can we get chainmail pants and boots? Just alot of things that have been looked forward to, and rumours were flying they would be added in this one, and still nothing. I don't mean to be rude not at all. I just assumed on the rumours of the silverweaves. Bah I didn't even know you were a dev, thought you were a GM lol.

I am neither a dev or a GM.  I am simply repeating to you what the devs have told me and the PS community.

If God exists, he is dead therefore doesn't exist anymore. If God doesn't exists, he doesn't exist either.

Why would he be dead?

As for the silverweaves. I remember Karyuu saying ages back silverweaves weren't intended to be that high slashed. How it would be possible for both silverweave and iron shorts and dagggers to be so balanced then if it wasn't intended I wonder, but that is a different matter, it has been said indeed, however I believe it has also been said the high slash in itself isn't the bug as those kind of weapons should be rarer, not noneexistant.

Personally I don't see why one would make such weapons even more rare then they are unless one wants to reward powerlevel mentality once again. One of those examples where I'm like "where is this RPsupport you speak so highly of?".

Why would he be dead?

Because zanzibar became a GM  :P

But if God doesn't exist, it wouldn't make any difference.

Whether God exists or not, that I don't know.

[GM]Zanzibar >  Hi.  Your name violates the players guide so I'm going to have to change it.

God >  My son, I have many names.  I am all things to all people.  But I am forever the Lord God.

[GM]Zanzibar >  Ok, you're challenging a GM decision and that's a violation of the rules.  Stop freaking out or I'll have to ban your account.

God >  I am all patient and all forgiving.

[GM]Zanzibar >  This is GM harassment.  I'm banning your account now.

God has signed off.

Ignoring the noise and referring to the signal:
@ Garile
Umm cannot GMs give items and experience as a reward for exceptional participation in GM events? I would think that would qualify as RP support.

The definition of noise is audience dependant.

The definition of noise is audience dependant.

The audience thinks you just did one. How does it sound?
Your interference in the clarity of signals may require the work of professional technicians to be solved.
Technicians may also have to cancel the transmission if the noise increases too much.

I don't know what you're talking about :) I found the post funny.

I advise you to stay away from John Cage and most books, especially anything by John Brunner.  Leaving the house is probably damaging to your psyche as well.

Ill-considered comment reconsidered, not worth the electrons spinning through the web.

I find that surprising.  You're an intelligent and articulate enough bloke that you can almost always word your thoughts in ways that are just less than offensive.

I don't know John Cage, But I know Jack Hasseuer and Ed Ottis.

And I don't see the point on generating dark energy around.
