Title: How getting my computer good enough?
Post by: Biber on February 18, 2007, 01:38:47 pm
I really like PlaneShift and played allready some early versions.
But at the new Version it's really laggy and has many chrashes.
Looking at the hardware requirements i think i know whats wrong.

I have just 256 MB Ram!

My System configuration is:
AMD Athlon 2500+ @ 3200+
Geforce FX 5200
256 MB DDR Ram

So what could i do to get planeshift smooth running?
Is just about 512 MB more Ram enough?
Or are the CPU and the graphics card to outdated, too?

Thank you all in advance, DerBiber

The Geforce FX 5200 as it's getting old has only 128 MB ram...
And at release it allready wasn't one of the best...

Really? Without ANY lag?
It's just disgusting how bad it's running on my pc.
Crashes every few minutes an lagging very much even if i play on a resolution of 640x480.
But maybe more Ram will solve this...
Will buy some more in near time.

oh i don't know about lag... you always get lag in this game however good computer you have but sure it should have been abit more with that old card
yeah i think the bottlenect is your ram atleast double it
