Hiya!

PlaneShift experiences several crashes for various reasons - without any further detail from you, it is impossible to predict when a fix for the crash you are experiencing may be put into the game, if it hasn't been already (for a future update). Do you perhaps have the crash number on hand?

It says it is a diagnostic file and it happens everywhere. The only time I get play for at least an hour when I uninstall and reinstall. :'(

*edit*

Sorry I do not put this in the last post but it said this in the death ream: exeption_access_violation at 69238637 and yes I saved a file.

This is a crash on particles with Nvidia video cards. Open up pssetup.exe and turn on Vertex Buffer. It should fix the issue.

Sure you can't give us any more details on the message? Hm.

1) Does this happen when you start PlaneShift, or when you try to log in?
2) If it happens when you try to log in, does it happen with only one character, or all of them?
3) Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game - it can take of some issues.
4) If the problem remains still, having your system specs can be handy (things like processor type, RAM amount, and video card).

Are you doing something especial while playing?

I mean... running it with fullscreen and using windows key to go to desktop then trying to go back in or things alike.

Could you say where your char is?
(you can use /pos command when in game so it will tell you the region you are in)

Do the crashes happen in fullscreen and in windowed mode?

(To change this parameters use PSSetup utility, available through start-all programs-planeshift, and play a bit with fullscreen on and off, resolution of the game etc.)

Also... just in case it's your computer being stressed...
when in game go to options-graphics-details-see fps cap. Lower its value. Put it at 25 or so, just a number around it that you like but not as big as the one you'll see as default.
See if that improves things... and provide some information, if you can.

I think we're reaching the state of "Who wants to be a millionare?" when we've to guess what the solution for a problem might be.

The little thingy is that we don't have a classic question, but something like "Why does it crash?". Comprehensible since we're at the last question and there's the big reward awaiting us.

But we've used already the poll, call and 50% options...

I was about to suggest even turning sound off in PSsetup...
but, I must admit I'm curious as to know if you've experienced any improvement at all in the gameplay time or not.
Noone yet knows where your char was, or what you did before the crash happened, as to try to compose a mental picture to better spot how to solve an issue that, remember, affects you. But yeah, that's part of the challenge.

So...
put some time of your own to easy the task of those (maybe not me) wishing or able to help you, and provide as much information as you're able to.

Because either way, this will be like at school.
Yeah...
You'll end up taking a chalk and copying all errorlog.txt file on your planeshift folder once the crash has happened in this very forums, 100 times.

By hand.

Can you take a screenshot of the full error message, or at least type it out exactly as it appears? I don't think we have this yet.

See, this is completely different from what you told us was happening before. That crash number has been reported and is being investigated. You can try to reduce you font size through Pssetup (80% or 50%) - this has been known to take care of some problems. If it doesn't work, you'll have to sit tight for a fix :/

Have you tried downloading the map in this thread (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=27003.0)?

For Senero, if you get problems with Bronze Doors, get Karyuu's suggestion or turn on Vertex Buffer on in PSsetup if you have an Nvidia card.
For travis, the fix will take a couple of months to land in your client, so I suggest you to reduce the font size in Pssetup to at least 50% otherwise you won't be able to play at all.

I realize the messages are a bit old, but you never know...
