Title: Sound disappears after a while of playing

Hi i have sound working when i start to play but after some time (often with a map change) the sound just stops.  An interesting thing I have noticed is that when this happens the writing that appears in the middle of the screen such as "You cannot dig in the same place twice" etc always has the letter s corrupted.  Nothing I do to the settings will bring it back except close and restarting PS.

I hope this extra little piece of info helps to track down the issue.
