Title: The Server isn't available
Post by: hijen on February 23, 2007, 10:06:34 am
I have downloaded the game multiple times, pinged the sever and everything says that it is working.  When I try to log into the game it tells me that the "server isn't available".  I would like to know how to get past this problem.

If you have a firewall or router, make sure UDP port 7777 is enabled for server Laanx.

I have made the port available but it still say that the server isn't available.

If you have used the updater, it wont work.
Install the game again, but do not use the updater as it is still set for .17 client.

I also have a problem with "server failed"...It worked absolutely fine yesterday (besides the NPC server being down?)...I've asked all my friends (who are, right now, playing Planeshift) and the server(s) are working fine for them...I haven't updated PS, so I see no reason why it isn't working for me in particular.......any ideas? :-\

If you have a software firewall, this may be an issue for you. Be sure to check the access rules of the PS client and set it to 'always allow' or whatever the setting is for your software. This has been an issue for others in the past.

If this is not the case, please give us more details on your system and setup.

I have not updated the game.  My firewall is from aol.  I have allowed all the program files and the ports. The server is still not available.
