Title: Italian translation
Post by: agostino on February 26, 2007, 02:05:41 pm
So I decided to make teh italian traslation. I've starting traslating all .xml files in /data/gui and /races.

But there's a problem: how can i translate the ingame bar at the top of the screen??

When i've finished traslating gui, what remains? In wich folders i have to search for files to translate?

You can try this:
http://www.planeshift.it/other_languages.html

It should give all the information you need to complete the translation.

I've just see it but...

=> In the repertory Rules it will be necessary for you to translate all the XML files (jobs, rpgrules, advantages)
=> In the Data/Config repertory translate the file : psclient-setup.def
=> And translate the file : psgui.dll

I haven't Rules repertory

In /data/config i don't see any file called psclient-setup.def

File psgui.dll don't found by my manual search.

Why i don't see these files?

Ok I have some news.
Those instructions are in part outdated, that's why you can't find psclient-setup.def and psgui.dll. Consider also that, now, I would divide the possible translation in 4 levels:

Knowing this I suggest you should join the IRC channel (http://www.planeshift.it/irc.html) and ask there for more information on translation or where particular text strings are saved.
I hope this can help  :)
