Title: Game tells me to update

Installation guide tells me not to. 
When I run the updater, none of the mirrors are found. 
I can't create a character.  What should I do?

If you ran the updater, you have to uninstall, remove all left behnd install folders and reinstall.

Then do not run the updater.

If the server is down, you won't be able to log in, thus can't create a character.

I have the same problem - to walk through what I have done so far:

Installed the game
Ran the updater (it said all the mirrors did not have a version file so it couldn't do anything)
Ran the game
tried to log on (the client said I had to run the updater)
Checked the forum
uninstalled the game
re-installed the game
did not run updater
tried to log on (the client said I had to run the updater)

If I wasn't running the latest version (I'm running 0.3.018) I would say this looks to be a version conflict...

Any words of wisdom on the matter?

When I tried this the server was up and running, and it appeared to authenticate my login then report that it needed updating

If you can log into the game just fine, there is no issue. The message about running the updater should be ignored at this time.

Ahhh - thanks (feel a bit dumb that I didn't click on the character creation button now)  :-[
