Hi, I've downloaded the game today and was looking forward to playing. However, whenever I try to login to the game it fails to connect to the Fragnetics server and will not log on. Also, when I ran the updater, it could not find any of the mirrors. I don't think the Firewall is blocking them, as I made both programs exceptions, but am unsure. Can someone help? Please?

first what is the full file name of the file that you downloaded? if it doesn't end in 3.18 you'll have to download the latest version from the site.
second given you ran the updater... yeah we know what it says. uninstall and reinstall and try again.

It was already the latest version and I tried reinstalling without looking at the updater, but its still giving me the same error.
I've also tried pinging the server (laanx.fragnetics.com) and the IP address (210.193.49.103) through the Windows Run... Request, but it just keeps on timing out on me.

Sounds like a port service could be being flitered or blocked...

The thing is, the only firewall software I have on this PC is Windows, and I've tried a) allowing the program as an exception, b) allowing UDP Port 7777 as an exception and c) turning off the firewall altogether. Nothing seems to work! :@#\

It's unlikely, but it might be a point between you and fragnetics, such as your ISP. Also make sure there is not some kind of block going on at a higher level than the firewall on your Windows machine that is disallowing contact with the main server or IP because it is not trusted. Heck, call the ISP and play "the angry customer" and see if they can give you some help, as well. Most people can readily connect, and you seem to know your stuff, so its gotta be something.

Never mind, its not going to work for me. I've just had a look on the university website (am in a Hall of Residence) and it basically says they're blocking it on purpose due to hacking dangers...
*shakes fist*

Aw, durn. Stupid policy. Heh. Leapfrogging it is probably too much trouble, but come back when you can.

I'm having the same problem. Only I know what is meant to happen becos this has only happened since I replaced my harddisk, and had to install everything again. This is rather annoying.
