Title: Lost quest?

I am doing "Ancient Sword" quest. I succesfully identified sword, then i gave him to Trasok and now there was problem: I had to end so i shut down the game. Later i returned and i tried to tell trasok about the sword, but he always said something like "Your words doesnt have sense" What i have to do? Do I have to restart this quest?

First: I'm not an expert with quests, hardly do any, so take my words with caution and not as a certain truth.

If you gave the sword to Trasok, and Trasok accepted it, then there are 2 possibilities:

a) The quest finished and you got a reward.

b) The quest has more stages to be completed, and those are the ones to complete from now on.

Both cases can be checked using the "log" functionality that the game has. Go to your planeshift folder (program files/planeshift crystal blue , usually) and check the logs subfolder. There it should be a plain text file holding all your conversations. With fortune, scrolling down you'll be able to seek your conversation with Trasok, and see if either the quest was finished when giving him the sword, or if there are more steps to do, reading the dialogue with him again. (You can also try a search with Trasok tells you, I'd say, and begin the search from the end of the document up, so it shows the last results first)
If the quest ended, then you should have the reward or whatever it's meant to give, and if not, there you'll find the next steps that you'll have to follow.

If you did not complete the giving action, but the sword's no longer in your inventory... well, then maybe you'll need to restart the quest again, and that can be tricky.
Just search on your logs to see what happened.

Well, I gave the sword to Trasok, he told me "what informations you have for me?" (or something like that). Then I had to end. I returned later and try to answer to Trasok. I tried some phrases but i couldnt find right one. So I asked other players - they said I should try one phrase which I used before at other NPC in this quest - I tried it again, but it wasnt working. May be that it is cause the game isnt complete. It seems I will have to restart this quest :'(. - I advice you: dont interrupt game while you are talking to NPC it causes problems.

Edit: May be I have solution: I will restart quest, but i wont go to any others NPC, but I will immediately give the sword back to Trasok and try to say this right phrase. - Do you think it will work?

I would say "no", but you really don't loose anything by trying.
If your only chance is to discard the quest and take it again, you can try your own guessing and see if it works.

If you tested the sentence that was meant to go there, as to continue with the quest, and Trasok did not recognize it, I don't think I can give you any other useful advice.

I have exact the same issue:

I started the "Taroks Ancient Sword" quest. Stations were:Tarok->GXXX IXXX->LXXXXX->OXIXEN TXXXXXX->Tarok. While talking to Tarok I was accidently killed by a strafing rogue, AFTER I gave the sword back to Tarok!
When I returned to Tarok the correct questions (I know) had no influence on him, Further investigation showed, that one NPC further in the realm, the trigger wasn´t gone. I could still ask that NPC about my sword (which is gone by now), he wants to identify and his payment. So I guess the only solution is to cancel the quest from quest list, and start from the beginning?!

Same for me but after a crash of the client at the same point....
Do anyone find another solution?

I lost the ancient sword too (got attacked by monster). There was no way of getting it back from the NPC.
I created a new character. Got a new ancient sword from Trasok, gave this ancient sword to my "old" character and I could trigger the conversation with the NPC!
