I can't train, even though I have the points. (I can't remember what they're called. potential points?) Anyway, i try to buy a skill, and get told I don't have enough money. Someone told me you need money to train. Is this true, and how much do you need?
I have level zero mining, but when I can mine, where do you mine stuff?
Thanks.
-
In PlaneShift, training is like taking lessons: you have to train, and you have to pay for the lesson. Now, to get money, all you have to do is sell things. I assume you know how to kill, so, loot the corpse, and then sell what you looted to merchants, or other players.

I believe the cost is somewhere around 42 tria per progression point used with trainers, but it could differ based on the level or type of skill you are trying to increase.
As for where you mine, ask in the game :)
-
Ok, thanks. Well, I've posted a few times already, i a row, so i'll just ask another question on this thread. Is it possible to change accounts without leaving the game and restarting?
-
no. but it is a requested feature.

Okay, so I bought a skill mining. the number didn't go up, but the green in the colored bar did, covering the yellow. not much though. there's some blue too. I have no Idea what the colors mean, or even the numbers anymore. I'm gonna look in the manual to try to find something, but any explanations would be nice.
Thanks.
And yes, I am a complete, and total noob, but I'm not gonna quit.

We have a GamePlay FAQ.... http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=21677.0
21. What do the yellow, green, red, and blue bars near the skills mean?
Yellow -- Amount of theoretical knowledge (training) needed before you start the practical part (working with that skill).
Green -- Amount of theoretical knoledge achieved (when training) or amount of practical experience (when practicing)
Red -- Amount of practical experience required up to next level
Blue -- Your curent progression points. (If the blue bar is longer than the yellow bar, you can complete the theoretical training for the skill in question.)
-
in any case:
if the yellow bar is fully covered with the green bar, you can start training that skill
if you practice, the green bar will raise to the next level
I'm not sure, is this a spoil? :'(
(please send me a PM telling me)

Thanks Eagle. Okay next quest (i'm good at coming up with them.) where's vega, or veja,? ( whatever it's called) I can't find it.
-
Veja is a merchant, and a trainer - but to find her, you will need to ask for directions or guidance in the game. Try to keep "where" questions contained to the game world.

Ok, Thanks. :D
