Be glad it has not..

if it had worked it would have ruined your installation, and you would have been forced to install the game anew.

For the time being, ignore the messages about "run updater" that the game prompts you to do. Some issues have arosen with the updater, and until the updating functionality is fixed, and there's a coordination as to put into the mirrors the most recent files, it's better not to use the updater.

If you can launch the game, join the server, and play, then everything's fine.  ;)

thats bs. when i load the game up and go to character selection where the character should be its all dark and fuzzy. so i listened to what you said and i made a character not even knowing what he looked like. once the game started i couldnt see anything. the only colors were black and dark brown. everything was fuzzy. Whats wrong with the graphics? When i go to The update thing in start menu it says mirrors failed or something and then it says not enough mirrors. im confused and really irritated. someone please tell me what i can do to actually play the game normally. It would be really appreciated. :@#\

System specs needed in order to help:

Quote
If you are on Windows, you can right-click on your My Computer icon, click Properties - your processor type and amount of RAM will be displayed under Computer: on the General tab. To see your video card, type dxdiag into the Run command, and look at the Display tab. The name and approx. total memory, and driver version are the important bits.

all you have to do is click on the primary link, or one of the mirrors and then hit i agree or accept on the next page and then just wait a few seconds on the page that it wants you to subscribe to their newsletter and a pop up asking you where you want to save the file should appear.

:o so if the updater doesn't work, how does one get the recent patches?  Does it mean that I have to redownload and reinstall the client?

If you dont have the 0.3.018 client you need to download the whole thing.

And after 0.3.018, there are no more required updates - and thus no actual need to run the updater at all.
