That is the Version number of the Updater Application -and it is not advisable to run that at this time. I believe it is itself getting a rewrite of it's code.

No, the current version of the PlaneShift Client is 0.3.018 and that is true for all 3 computer platforms that PlaneShift is available for.

You already downloaded it. But it's not the updater you need to run - rather the main game application. It's psclient.exe in your main PS directory (usually C:\Program Files\PlaneShift Crystal Blue).

Right. Or you can look for it in your Start menu. Start --> All Programs --> PlaneShift Crystal Blue --> PlaneShift - Tech Demo.

Try to ping the server and see if the connection request times out. Type ping laanx.fragnetics.com into your Windows Run command.

Sometimes, there can be a problem in the connection between your ISP and the server, which is harder to solve than changing firewall settings. I think I'm currently experiencing this issue - the server is up but I haven't been able to reach it for at least a week (luckily I have no real need to, myself).

Thus: if your firewall/router settings are definitely set to allow PlaneShift and UDP port 7777, but the connection is still failing, you may have to contact your ISP.

*edit*

:( its still saying server not responding when i ping it and i tried running ping laanx.fragnetics.com it said it was doing 300-319 so i dunno i wish it would work :(

If the ping attempt doesn't time out, that means the connection is reachable from your end and the only thing blocking it may be a firewall or router. Are you sure that you have UDP port 7777 enabled for the server?

Are you at Uni?  Is your internet provided to you through a school or something's network?  Even if you allow that port on your firewall settings, it may be blocked on their network firewall.  If that's the case, you could try talking to them about it, but typically they will tell you tough cookies.
