Title: connecting

hey it seems for 2 day now i havent been able to connect to the game, i tryed before i broke my wrists (lol i know, trust me to break my wrist) and agen 2 day later (today)
and i still cant connect.

 i've checked my firewall and my connection stats and they all seem fine, i'm not sure if its something you'r end or not, but i love the game and when i can go out to play basket ball becouse of crippled hands it can be very distressing to know my charr is all lonely :p

It seems when i boot up the cliant all gose fine, then when i look at the server stats it just said failed. i've also tryed updating but i cant connect to the mirrors so im totaly stuck.

please help me!

Till this morning [my time] the server has been up the last few days. I think this post is better off in the tech help before connecting section then the complaint department. I would check your firewall and router again to make sure port 7777 is open.

You will have to re install, because you tried to update. The updater should not be used right now as it has an older version than the current one.

yup port 777 is open, ill do a virus scan, i cant connect with a few other games. perhaps i have a virus...  :oops: :o


** update **

ah great, i did have a virus, call TRU77.vir was doing something to my connection.. gone now :D

You'll have to refer to the manual of your firewall or router model :) If you can't find one, post the name of the firewall or router you have and people here will try to lead you through the process. The steps may differ based on what you have.

no no never mind i think i found the problem im at "0.3.017"  How do i change this with out the updater? :\ i just downloaded the planeshift client today..

then you probably ran the updater.  if you uninstall, make sure all eft behind folders are gone, and reinstall with the exe you downloaded, and then NOT run the updater after the install, nd instead just log in, you should be good.

becuase the updater is out of date, running the updater, can set your version back.
