I found a glitch, I think. I was mining iron ore, and I couldn't carry 15. The outstanding one was dropped, and I went on to sell them. I found I couldn't hold the 14 that were in my Sack in my inventory. Or anything else. Any idea what I can do about this?
Oh, no matter what the weight is, I can't hold it, even if it would be in my capacity.

Any idea what I can do about this?
Start off by not using sacs to carry more than you're supposed to be able to.

If you search, you will find this bug is well known and many others have had the same thing happen, myself included. As Zanzibar suggests, the best fix for this is to use the sacks with there 10lb limit in mind; carrying more than that is conciderd exploiting a known bug.

Well, I can't get rid of the iron ore. It just reappears in my sack.
-
try dropping the sack and picking the ore out of it.
-
How do I drop it? Keep in mind that I am very new...
-
1. Open the Inventory window
2. Click on the Sack you want to drop - this will attach the Sack icon to the pointer of your mouse
3. Move the mouse pointer away until it is outside the Inventory window - preferably until it is suspended over the ground around your character
4. Click
The Sack is now on the ground
5. Right-Click on the Sack and then on the Eye Icon that pops up with a choice of other icons to click on too
You should now be looking at an Examine window for that Sack, and you can now Click-Drag items from this Examine window and Click them into spare slots in the Inventory window that should still be open on your screen.

One thing I should note about the advice in this thread is that it appears now that if your inventory slots are filled but you have room in a sack new items will go into it by default. I am not suggesting the advice is not good just that this should be taken into consideration as the sack filling is not always intentional. Another point is that if you are at your capacity you cannot move items to and from or even around your inventory even if you have empty slots.

If you do decide to drop the sack on the ground, make sure you are far from anything resembling a person. Some believe that the minute you drop something, they can take it. No questions asked (and won´t return it no matter how much you ask).

Some believe that the minute you drop something, they can take it.
And they're right, as far as the rules go.

Thank you all.
