Title: Server Error
Post by: Krattos on April 14, 2007, 05:07:18 am
Ok, well I started playing PlaneShift yesterday and I find its awesome. Well 20 minutes ago I was playing normally, when i was trying to talk to my friend but it would never send it. But i was still able to move ingame and stuff. But not able to talk. So I exited the client. I went back in to try to connect but it says "the server is not  running or is not reachable" and it says failed. Whats wrong?  >:( :'(

Also, I checked the server status at http://laanx.fragnetics.com/index.php?page=char_stats, I looked at the online users and It says I'm still online??. When I really am not. Is it because i exited the client, while I was doing something? Is that why I can't log on? ??? ???

And I checked the processes and the PS client isnt running.

*edit*
ok well now the server status is saying full, then 1 second later it goes to failed, then switches to full. I checked the http://laanx.fragnetics.com/index.php?page=char_stats and nobody was on??

And BTW, my ingame names is, Krattos

Hey dude, this sounds like the normal situation when the server is taken off line to test some function that has been recently added or to add a new server update. Best advice I can give is to just check it again in about 30 minutes and see if the issue is resolved. It is usual for the Devs to send a server message warning you about a reboot of the server but this is by no means a rule set in stone.

Another tidbit to keep in mind.  Weekends are the time Devs do most of their playing.  As such, it can can go up and down as they test/fix/add things.  Welcome to development.  :)
