I am leaving because…
I am leaving for a reason, but first I will tell you the reasons that do not make me leave.
I am not leaving because the community sucks. It in fact a very good community, and full of good people. You just have to stomp the trolls once in a while.
I am not leaving because the game sucks. Well… in its own ways, it does suck, but I have seen it getting better all the time. It is better than other places I have seen by far. What the game lacks in usable features for me, it makes up for with depth and the aforementioned community.
I am not leaving because the Devs suck. They are more than great people, and put up with a lot of crap from folks like me. They deserve medals and cookies. They work harder than you would think, and do listen a lot more than it seems.
I am not leaving because of Zanzi. He has become more amusing to me than anything, and gets a cookie for that as well.
I am not leaving because I get bored in the game, and it lacks roleplaying. There is RP everywhere I want to find it, and stories that go back years. You just have to find them.
I am not leaving because of all the new people coming into the game. They are not ruining it any more than the folks who joined back when I did, and folks claimed -we- were ruining things. All old players start as new players, and everyone is a blooming elite. They just don’t know it yet.
I am not leaving because the Settings and story are vague or lame. No, they are just unknown to me. Sure, parts of it do not make any sense, but I have seen some of those parts change in my time here. It will all come together someday.
I am not leaving because all my old friends have gone. Sure, most of the ones I started with are gone. But that is just the cycle of any web community. There are those who never seem to leave.
I am not leaving because I find no joy or fun in playing. Even when I am complaining about some feature, and how it could be better, I salute the work that has been done already, and keep all the stories and characters I have made going with what can be used in what I do. That is what I enjoy. The fighting and training have much to be desired, but the mind games are perfect.
I am not leaving for any reason you should be worried about. There is nothing wrong with the Moon.
I am leaving because I should have been to bed an hour or more ago, and have work in the morning.
See you tomorrow.

April fool's is over :P
You got me... it thought it was serious :-[
Now let's resume productive activities...
Guess I can push a "I'm not leaving because..." too:
- The community really is good overall, and there's no other MMORPG with roleplaying, 'cept for some Persistent Worlds of Neverwinter Nights, but they wouldn't be "massive".
- It's bad to scrap down all my ideas on PS regarding guilds and characters.
That's all, the "Why I would be tempted to leave", I'll keep to myself, but the reasons to remain, for now are larger.
-
I'm not leaving, becuase they won't let me leave. :-\
-
I kind of feel bad for the people who do leave and, in order to facilitate that, leave threads here to inform others they won't be around.
And no, no we won't.
-
I bet you have been planning this joke for sometime, havn't you?
-
I am leaving because Moon didn't give me a cookie before he left ... well that and work calls.
Luckily I smelled foul play and skipped to the last line before I went into a shock :P
-
Well she got me before i was up to the last line i thought "Damn what are we gona do about Zanzi now ???"
I was geting scared about that (no offense meant Zanzi just a friendly joke)
PS: i know im late but i couldnt get on the forums till now.

Hi. Back.
But just so you know, I shall be leaving again tonight. ;)
miadon, I have had this up my sleeve for a while, yes. Though I was going to use it when I took my vacation, and would have been gone for a week.
Zan, you mean you ate the entire jar of cookies left over from the Ethos? And darn you cheaters for skipping to the end. *grins*
-
I was about to start crying when i first read it :(
Well... Maybe not crying but I was kinda sad :P
-
Uhh .. nooo .. I didn't eat that entire jar ... really. I gave one of em to a hungry beggar outside the temple! :-[

...my eyes were opened to the terrible truth!
(http://www.johndiesattheend.com/wowhead.jpg) (http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/games/wowworld.html)
MMORPGs are the predecessors of a potential Matrix!
Grinding and levelling among most common MMO(RP?)G gameplay systems are wastes of time, I would rather play a much more fun soccer game(not computer games that suck like FIFA series, I mean the RL one) to after a year of 3 soccer games per week boost significantly my STR, AGI and END, make more friends to develop more my CHA and social skills and play some truly mind-challenging games(Computer AIs are dumb) to sharpen my INT. :P
Wait, grinding (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grind_%28gaming%29), farming and treadmilling aren't the only things available in PS. Still...
Reality predates the delusions... offers larger challenges, and true rewards that are not just the graphical intepretation of 0's and 1's in a computer screen.
P.S.: I disagree with the article on Wiki, as for me the idea of having a designed in-game aspect which requires a player to not be entertained for a period of time is contradictory.
