I have just performed a clean install of the most recent version of PlaneShift without running the updater. Upon running PlaneShift, I can log on fine, but then this message pops up:
(http://img475.imageshack.us/img475/4642/errorhg0.th.png) (http://img475.imageshack.us/my.php?image=errorhg0.png)
After about a minute, the game completely freezes. My specs that might be relevant:
OS: Vista RTM (6000)
Video Card: Intel 945GM Express with latest drivers installed
So... how do I fix this? :-[

Looks to be a borked install, you need a real video card as your onboard chispet can't handle it, or your video drivers are not working nicely with the game.
How did go about verifying you have the latest drivers for your "video card" installed?

Hm... I'll try uninstalling it, removing the folders that the uninstaller doesn't remove, and reinstall it and see how it goes.
Reinstall didn't work. :(
I'm sure I have the latest drivers, I (manually, since Windows Update rolls me back to a previous version for some odd reason) installed them from www.intel.com just recently.
EDIT: So I suppose this means that PlaneShift doesn't support Intel GPU chipsets?

I have a similar (if not the same, cannot check now) chipset in my laptop, and planeshift runs just fine. Framerate may drop when entering complex areas (BD) or crowded places (Hydlaa), but that is the only problem.

Then perhaps it's a problem with Vista, then, which would be much more likely....
