I don't know how to use the bug tracker.
After you kill someone, you can attack them once they respawn in the death realm for a good five minutes. This is a significant problem.
-
For clarification: we're talking about after they go flag for pvp? as in, they went into the pvp room?

It was actually a duel in the Hydlaa map that caused me to notice this. I met up with the other guy in the death realm. When I used my "attack nearest player" shortcut to target him so I could greet him, I ended up hitting him.

So you continued to erm greet him for a good five minutes, remind me not to say hello to you *grins*

what about more tests? could you please try challange someone and after that fight him in dr?
-
You know, the bugtracker really isn't that hard to use.
What are your problems with it?
I'll note them.
And a bug is only a bug when it's duplicatable.
-
I had this issue aswell. After dueling someone in DR and the person came back, we were still in duel, and it wasn't a one-time-only incident, so most of the time I can't heal them, but hit them in the face. The status of still being in duel only stopped after a relog,
-
This sounds like the issue is simply that PvP status is not reset on death, but only on time.

And the last time you said hello to me was... when? :)

This bug should be easily repeated by anyone who wants to confirm it. I welcome you to try it; if you need someone to kill, I can provide you with a target if I'm online.

The bug tracker is scwary. Are you saying the bug isn't duplicatable?

Yes. I think it's the result of Caarrie's solution to the abuse of the PvP zone. People were staying on the edge of the zone while firing arrows at people they wanted to get rid of or harass. Caarrie made it so that if you deal damage to someone, they can attack you for the next five minutes or so. Now, I'm not positive that her work is responsible for the problem, but it's a likely candidate. It would be an unfortunate side effect of an otherwise good fix.
Has anyone else noticed that whenever a bug is reported, Caarrie seems to get right on top of it before many other people even hear about the problem?
-
I have nothing to do with this.
-
Zanzibar, that fix was made by Vengeance.

What's wrong with that.

Sad.
Are you saying the bug isn't duplicatable?
If it is, then there's no need for a bug report.
Why don't you test it yourself :)
-
How is this a terrible thing? I do not understand. So what you can still attack into the death realm? What is the worst that comes of this? Oh, I know, you spawn a few feet away . . .
Come on now, seriously . . .
The blame (if you even think it is that bad) for this does not rest on Caarrie.
PVP area is Dev related, not GM related. Take it up with me, and if you want a really good time, Vengeance.
;)

Ah.

What's wrong with that.
Why would anything be wrong with it?
@Xillix: Your tone is aggressive and I don't know why. It is a problem because people could exploit it to harass others.

Dude, you really need to learn the bug tracker ;P
I can even help you if you are having so big problems ;P
It is kind of bug, but posting it there has high chances of being simply forgotten. It won't happen on bugtracker.
-
xillix is a busy xillix you want it that way.
we will look into it.

Try and stay on topic people :P My thread cleaning skills don't like being used.
