Title: relationships of magic (edited for clarity)

guide says that crystal magic is against dark magic or something like that.  im getting the feeling that thats another way of saying they dont mix.  what does this mean? is it still in effect?

What I understood is that crystal magic is the exact opposite of dark magic, and I think the magic comes from two different places (correct me if I'm wrong).
