Title: Staff Application
Post by: Gamingstaff on April 20, 2007, 11:34:04 pm
Who do I contact to apply for a staff position? If you would like to see it here --

I created and currently run the website Shadow-Grove, the biggest site for the game Shadowbane in the world (A populous on my forums of about 2000, 3700 views on my site a day). I have lots of experience in the creation and editing of websites, and having been an admin / moderator at almost every board I am asked to join, I have lots of experience in making sure profanity and such unwanted content are purged for eyes who do not wish to see them. I do not want to advertise my site in this post, but if you would like proof of my claim you can send me a personal message on these forums and I can give you a link.

That link is not for helping with the forum that is for applying for a position on the development team. If we are in need of more moderators for this forum we have many people that use it each day to pick from for that position. As far as i have seen only the top 3 devs will be admin of this forum as we have sections that are not public.

I think we're set for moderators at the moment :) Plus as Caarrie said, we're more likely to pick someone active from the community who we know quite well, when there is a need. Stick around, though!

they tend to do it whilst you sleep too.  then the next day you wake up to an email box filled with reports of posts on "boards you moderate" and then you go what the.... and then you come here and see you're now a mod.

"surprise!  now get to work."  :P

I think you should ask for the person if he/she wishes to be a moderator first to avoid the surprise :P

But if you know the person is going to say yes, it's just wasting more time... ;)

I ain't got the time for formalities, y0! :)
