Title: Java command file makes the game crash.
Post by: Siteri Kidachi on May 05, 2007, 09:30:51 pm
OK, so I can play the game normally fine. However, if I try to use the PSClientCMD.jar file to relight, the game crashes in the middle of loading. The Console offers no explanation.

Where are you relighting? Does the game crash or freeze (there is a difference)? How much RAM do you have? Do you use the load-all-maps option?

1. I'm relighting in the Bronze Doors area
2. It crashes (unexpectedly quits).
3. 512 MB.
4. No.

Hrmm... Bronze doors... does it crash when you relight other areas?

No idea... I've never needed to relight other areas. And the server's down so I can't try it now.

EDIT: OK, I tried it in Kada-El's... it still crashed.

I just tried downloading it again, and it still crashed.

Are you running an Intel? If so, try disabling texture compression (as detailed in the Guide) when you relight. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what to say. :(

I don't have an Intel... it's a G5.
