Title: Problem with 3D Graphics
Post by: Norakia on May 06, 2007, 07:24:59 pm
Hello !
I've got a problem with the graphics of my character when I create it. In the preview zone, the character is very dark and I can't see the details.
I run the game on ubuntu feisty, with 1Go RAM, and I have a ATI Radeon 9600 as graphic card.

Before, I had another problem with the text, and I find a solution on this forum :

"..Open up the file [PS Directory]/data/config/r3dopengl.cfg in a text editor, and find this line:
Video.OpenGL.FontCache.UseMultiTexturing = yes

Change yes to no...
"

I did it and now I see the text correctly. Is this modification linked to the problem with 3D graphics ?

Thanks

I think its actually linked to a bug with the mesa implementation of opengl, but I cannot be 100% certain.  I'm hoping to see a new version of mesagl in the feisty repositories soon.  I've submitted a bug report and contacted a dev on the ubuntu forums regarding the problem.  Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
