Title: Character Development
Post by: Ravette on March 11, 2003, 04:24:08 am
Hi, I\'m still pretty new to the game (and boards). And I\'m not quite clear on something... will it be possible to develop our characters somehow? Because I read somewhere on here, not sure which thread (because I have read ALOT of them), that there aren\'t going to be monsters to kill, it will be mainly for meeting people and hanging out. Maybe I just misread it or it meant during the development stages, but I was just wondering how it will work. If there isn\'t going to be any advancement, then the stats and stuff you choose when making a character would be irrelevant I believe. But as I said before I\'m not sure if I misunderstood, or if it is just meant for the early stages of the game. Thanks in advance for the reply.  :)

Yea, you must have read it wrong

There will be monsters, among other ways to gain experience (although there will not be levels) but killing monsters is not going to be near the only way to gain this (like doing your job, etc.)

Good to hear. The concept of playing without having anything to play kind of threw me off a little. Thanks for clearing it up for me.  :D

The post you must have read about just chatting/no killing, etc. were indeed about the development version. They were mostle comments to ensure that newbies didn\'t get the wrong idea and get very pissed of (and annoying) when they found out that they can\'t kill anything yet in MB. All features you\'d expect from a MMORPG (and probably lots more) will step by step be introduced during each next version.
Hope this clears thing up a little more.:)

Yep killing things is for in CS

Mod: Note this is actually called \"CB\" for \"Crystal Blue\", the successor to MB.  - Venge
