Well Hello, hello... I took a look at this quite a while ago and while I was impressed at what PS offered it didn't have a fraction of what it offered. :(
So I'm just drifting by to see how things are going... mainly wanting to see how the character models are going... last I played 1/2 the races where still sharing models and most didn't have genders.
Do all the races have unique looks yet? Are all the Race/Gender combinations available?
OK.. enough for now. :-X

Nope, with regards of character models not much has changed. The only changes that happened recently were a choice out of multiple hairstyles/colors and faces for some races.
Unless you've been gone before the Klyros model came into Planeshift but that one has been around for a while now.

Awww damn... I guess I'll continue to wait on the wings then... I'm just to much of a RPer to be able to play something like then when you can't even tell races apart without an OOC tell asking.
Keep up the work guys, you've got a promising start.

You do know that you can examine a character to read their gender, race and (homewritten) background, right? That's what I use when I'm RPing with someone .. I first check out their character description (equivalent of taking a good look at them) to know these general aspects and whatever else they allow me to know about them by looking at them.
If you really are an avid RPer you should definitely be able to enjoy Planeshift in it's current state. In roleplays you can usually overcome holes in the game mechanics or completeness of the game by improvisation and creativity.
