Title: May 13. 2007 Monsters do not attack back.
Post by: LeoTHELion on May 14, 2007, 12:31:03 am
Any monster does not attack back as of May 13. I myself have gotten like 600 pp because of this >_>.

Anyways...

1. Will you guys reverse all gained pp because of this?
2. Why aren't monsters attacking back?
3. How come we can still attack in 'bloody stance' even if we are at 0% mental stamina?
4. Will the server get shut down soon?

1. probly not
2. All npc combat is controlled by a sepereate program, the npcclient. As a delicate program (http://qdb.ps-mc.com/?294), it is prone to bugs where npcs stop attacking, especially after an update to the server. Most of the time it just goes offline and stops anyone from fighting.
3. Someone's been messing with my code!  :@#\ I'm guessing someone switched (if x>0) with (if x> or = 0), as bloody is supposed to be available untill you run out of stamina... or maybe there's something else going on :)
4. Restarts will come as needed, but I don't think there will be more downtime... well, untill the full update <.<

Some new NPCs were added on ojaroad2, and they needed to have their skills updated. I've fixed as many as I could find - if after a server restart you find more, post their spawn /pos and we'll patch them up too.

So does that mean all the other monsters are fixed? They will attack back now?

I'm not sure if the NPCclient has been restarted yet - so far there aren't any developers who can do that available.

I HAD to test if the monsters are fighting back or not... They are. I'm glad I tried with rats first.   ;)
