Here's my problem. I created a character, gave him a name, and that's all ok. But when I try yo enter the world of Planeshift, after a brief loading, my computer freeze, and I'm forced to close it from the power off button. It happens to me everytime I tried, three times actually. I'm in Ubuntu Linux. Can anyone help me? My connection is 2Mb, I've got 1GB of RAM, an intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz, an Ati Radeon X600 256Mb... I think I've got all the requirements...

Does anybody know a reasonable way to understand why it crashes continuosly, and it freeze my computer?
-
what drivers do you use for the ati card?
-
The official, I used Envy...

I use the fglrx drivers from ati's site for my x300 and have no problems [unless i load a second client]

Well I think it's a bug, it's the fifth time my pc freeze when I try to load the world...
-
I think it is some setting on your pc not the game [most likely your graphics card drivers]

Well, I never heard about a graphic problem, that leads to a freeze of the computer. Maybe there should be a black screen, or an error. And, btw, why my card driver should support Second Life, but crash on this game? Perhaps it's a bug, or maybe a problem with linux... I don't know...
