i downloaded planeshift off of bit torrent, loaded it blah blah, but the menus and such are really pixilated so i went to the sticky issues thing, tried to update it but that didnt work, so i tried it manually with the Terminal thing. i typed exactly everything atleast 6-7 times but didnt work. im thinking i'm missing something and it must be this Mounting business..
"and mount the downloaded disk image (DMG):"
what does that mean?
--------------------------
and this is kinda confusing, i dragged the folder into applications, but what does "Drag the Planeshift 3D folder on the DMG"
on the dmg?
(2. Drag the Planeshift 3D folder on the DMG to your hard disk (any folder that you have access to is fine, i.e. "Applications" etc).)
this might be a hard question.

Do you run an intel mac?

The torrent comes down as a .dmg file that is then mounted by the operating system. Looks the same as when you put a disk into the Mac, a disk icon appears on the desktop. The Planeshift3d folder is on the disk image, and must be dragged to a location on your hard-drive so you can run it. You can find instructions for working with .dmg files on the Apple support site.

You can't update now anyway. The update servers are down until 0.3.019.
