Answers to previous questions can be found in this thread (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=28911.0)
Introduction
Three cheers for the return of our Q&A!
All of PlaneShift players are constantly bursting with questions for the development team, and ever-hungry for those answers. Because it's often impossible for the team to browse through the forum to find good inquiries they can provide comments on, we're holding monthly Q&A sessions where players can ask questions about the game, and on the first of each month a thread full of answers will be posted in the Announcement section. (The next "Questions" thread will also have a link to previous answers.)
Now keep in mind that we have some rules for you to follow (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=25024.0) when you are posting your questions, so make sure to ask something that you not only cannot find an answer to anywhere else, but are willing to wait a month/some weeks for. This may mean no posting questions about a bug that happened yesterday that you already know will be taken care of tomorrow. Any questions that break the rules will be deleted.
The "Questions" threads will close a week or so before the end of the month so that the dev team can finalize their answers and really take the time to write informative replies, without more questions coming in. If you're late in posting your question, just sit tight until the next "Questions" thread will be opened.
Let's try to keep this thread to Q&As only, so no discussions. This will keep the thread easy to look through for the final selection. And remember that you can ask questions about code, the server, art, etc. - not only about the world. We're hoping all parties will have a lot of fun participating!
This thread will close on the 24th of June for the final selection. Get posting!

I will take this opportunity to ask my questions, if you don't mind.
===
1. Is the Black Flame holy? In the same sense that Diaboli are supposed to be vulnerable to anything holy, sacred and blessed?
2. Is it correct that Diaboli cannot follow any of the three exiting gods in PlaneShift - Laanx, Talad and Black Flame? Will technical barriers be implemented in the future to prevent them from following any of the gods or would it be left up to the players themselves?
3. Is Diaboli's vulnerability to anything holy, sacred and blessed a genetic quirk or is it related to deep and past history somehow closely related to gods and/or religion, be it in Yliakum or in their distant home? Will there be further information available within the settings to explain that?
4. The settings claim that it is rare to find Diaboli inside a temple, aside from the imprisoned ones. Does that mean that temples have prisons within them or that they are only used as such to imprison and punish Diaboli?
5. According to the settings, it sounds like Klyros are atheists, which is why Laanx has sent them to cause problems for Talad, which implies that they would refuse to follow him as well. Is this true for Klyros in regards to any PlaneShift god or is this something that Laanx could have been mistaken about? Will technical barriers be also implemented in the future to prevent Klyros from following any of the gods or would it also be left up to the players?
6. Are any of the races, excluding Diaboli and Klyros, bound to any of the existing gods or can they choose to follow any god or none at all, despite what majority of their race does, and still be within PlaneShift settings? For example, is it still in accordance with the settings to see a Kran who follows Laanx or Black Flame?

Thanks.
PS If you can only answer one question, pick no.1

As Protos said. Are Diaboli vulnerable to holy items due to their psychology, due to genes or due to the power of the actual gods flowing inside the items?

1.At any point in the game's development will long-established guilds be written into the settings a'la guildwars etc?
2.Will there ever be physical places in the game that players/guilds/factions can call their own? like homes or guildhalls or shops etc.
3.Will skills like pickpocket actually become implemented? And if so would these be PvP(hope not) or PvE?
4.There are musician and artist based skills listed, will these be useable and if so, how would they be portrayed in-game?
5.Will there ever be restrictions on proffession based upon skills learned or applied at character creation? It isn't really feasable that a hard trained warrior will someday turn around and become a musician or vise versa, these are skills which take years to develop. SHouldn't there be a more focused character development scheme in terms of profession, or for want of a better term, character class?

Are the ruins along the bronze-doors road those of Ylon Dynari, to be moved to their proper place when the maps are re-shuffled again; or are they the ruins of something else?
-
Suvok's special questions
1. Why are there two squadrons, the Shadow and Sunshine, at the Bronze Doors? Will the histories of these be available?
2. Can you get sunburnt from the Crystal? If so, are certain races affected in different ways?
3. How...does it rain in Yliakum?
4. What is the climate of Yliakum
5. What are things measured in, in Yliakum (eg. Seconds, Kilograms, Miles, Centimetres). Do different cultures have their own system of measurement? (eg. Imperial and Metric)

Is there more back story to the madman of the bridge, Crosh Dunehammer? His new dialog now suggests a paranoid delusional personality that could be entirely invented or alternatively have resulted from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Did the war against the Army of the Dead actually occur? Could it re-occur?
Where does the passage beyond the missing bridge span lead? Will it remain a dead end? Will it eventually be part of the long dangerous land route to the lower level?
Will there be tunnels which go between levels which will not be accessible from intervening levels i.e from level 1 to level 3 with no egress on level 2?
What about the hole in behind Zak, will it be extended leading to chambers unknown? Will it remain as it is an odd after thought?
Is petrification a significant risk for Kran? Does it result from extreme age?
Will it be possible to walk around the rim of the central shaft (on any level) or will the segments be designed such that this will not strictly be possible? The Winch has high cliffs running along either side so it appears circumnavigation of the upper level will have to go around it.
Will the central shaft be a single area within which flying creatures can access any of the adjacent levels/territories or will it be a stack of empty cylinders piled up in an inverted pyramid one (or more) per level? Will it possibly just be a small area with a bunch of 'portals' which you click on similarly to the winch doorway to enter the respective areas?
Will flying combat be possible?
If this seems a lot of questions it is only to increase the odds of having one answered as, I believe, none of my questions from the previous threads have been answered. Indeed some of these questions may be repeats or embellishments, I did not stop to check those I asked previously.

Since Kran do not breathe, how do they talk?

Since Kran do not breathe, how do they talk?
By the powers of Talad they fool your brainz and make you think you hear them.

Is anyone on the PlaneShift team currently working on creating the missing race models?
If yes, what models specifically are being worked on at the moment?
-
If yes, what models specifically are being worked on at the moment?
Typically, that answer will never be given until the new models or other art or what not is released in an update. They like to keep the surprise atmosphere.

Is the homepage down for Planeshifthttp://www.planeshift.it/ (http://www.planeshift.it/). for I have not been able to reach it.

Choren: You're willing to wait several weeks to get that question answered..? :) The website is up. Please avoid asking such things in the Q&A.

Ok. My questions.
1. Since there is food. And becoming a kitchen aid will be trainable. Does that mean eventually our characters will have to consume food ? Or will it just be a luxury?
2. If and when the food endustry becomes more important in the game, will characters be able to work in taverns, restaurants and so on that we have already? Or will it all just be NPC stuff?
3. Will gardening also be needed? Since the food will have to come from somewhere. Will that be NPC run or can characters do that too?
4. How long would it take for a garden to grow? Would it continue to grow even if you are not logged on?
I can understand if any of these are 'unanswerable'. Afterall, I think I might be thinking way ahead. But if some answers are provided, I'll be happier then a kid in a candy store :D

Thanks for the questions in this round, folks!
