Hi, everyone. :) I've been having a problem getting the game to work immediately after loading takes place. After character creation and entering the game world for the first time, I noticed that the screen was completely black (although the cursor changed and music played). After exiting the program, I noticed that graphical elements such as the start menu rendered slower. I restarted with the stubborn intent to try again, and the issue with GUI elements was naturally fixed. I tried to run the game once again, this time with the game loading properly, albeit with several of out-of-place multicolored squares scattered across the screen, and I was able to see the first frame of the game. All of a sudden, my computer restarted, spending extra time at the manufacturer logo and the little blinking line. The screen seemed to go black for a while before the "Welcome" screen popped up, and I instinctively shut down as soon as I could. After waiting a while and turning my computer on again, I can report nothing unusual, but I'm unsure how to resolve my issue with PlaneShift. Any replies are greatly appreciated. :)

Hiya,
Have you checked that you have the most recent drivers for your graphics?

Oh, silly me. :-[ I mistakedly assumed that ATI's drivers were on its own website, rather than that of its owner, AMD (which is why my drivers were not up-to-date in the first place). After a bit of searching, I've realized this and installed the new drivers. The game is working perfectly now; thanks for the help! :)
