Greet everyone
I simple question, I hope. What is the faction tab, the one next to stats, in the client ? What would
-5 tefusang
5 Mining
15 Smithing
mean, and do these stats change during the course of the game?
Thank You

Factions are the status of your character in relation to different groups of NPCs. For example a high number in the Merchant faction may see NPCs giving you deals in the future, or offering you items before characters they like less get them. A weak Guard faction could make NPC guards suspicious of you, and prevent you from doing or getting certain things. Different faction statuses of attackable NPCs may come to mean that they attack you on sight, or let you pass.
Factions change through NPC quests at the moment - every quest affects some faction standing for your character.

/me wonders how he can get those Ulbernauts to like him again
Maybe I should lure innocent travelers into their feeding grounds. ::)

Is mining a group of NPC`s?
-
There's a faction called "mining"? Did you really see that under the Faction tab?
-
Factions I know are:
Alchemy
Chaos
Edication
Enkidukai
Guards
Good
Government
Hammerwielder
Klyros
Kran
Law
Merchants
Mining
Nolthrir
Rat
Talad
Ulbernaut
Ynnwn
I don't know: Is this spoiling? Than please delete my post. (Although I've written black on brown)

Hmm, curious. I guess "mining" must be from helping a group miners through a quest then.

Hey Thom
Yes I have so far:
Guards
Government
Chaos
Ynnyn
Laanx
Rat
Tefusang
Mining
Smithing
Thieves
And the list grows quest by quest
-
Listing factions is in my opinion not a spoiler. Listing which quests or activities change your faction values, or (once it's implemented) what faction values do what, would be a spoiler.
-
i take it i'll have to redo all the quests i did before the faction system for the faction results? Is it possible to go through the database and update faction data based on quest logs?
Peace Love and Respect

I have no idea if it's possible or not, but as quests get more involved and complicated, with different faction assignments given depending on how the quest is done, it sounds like it would be a very time-consuming procedure with little payoff.
