Every time I start the client, the loading screen comes up like normal but when the blue loading bar gets almost all of the way across the screen, it crashes. No error messages or anything.

Can you post your system specs for us? Things like operating system, processor, RAM amount, and video card.

System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2
Card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 (256MB)
RAM: 1.5 GB
I've played an older version of planeshift on this computer before. I just recently got a new card and RAM for it.

Hey nvm... I just reinstalled... its working now. I had an older version already installed when I installed the new one. That may have been the problem. Thanks anyway
