Here is the dirt.
I bought a new computer (used) for a great price!
Though it runs PS better than any other system I have, my video card (ATI All-in_wonder 9600) cuts out after playing for a few minutes.
CPU AMD 3100+
RAM 512
ATI All-in-Wonder 9600 (updated fully)
I don't know what else is needed, but the screen simply cuts out. The system still runs fine, but when I play PS it shuts my video card off. I would like to know why the screen goes blank if anyone knows, or can help!
Let me know what else is needed here :D

It sounds like the slot is burnt out. It happened to me once after some Oblivion abuse. I never checked whether I fried the card or burnt the slot but the slot is much more likely.
Just go get a new card.

PCI or AGP both right there. That is if you're fine with DX9. If you are, it's the best on the market. For DX10, you'll be shelling out 400$ and all the cards on Newegg for ATI DX10 are about the same. Anyway, try putting it in a different slot, others should post up more helpful things soon.

PS doesn't use DX whatsoever.

When I reboot the computer it works just fine. It seemed to close out just after the CPU hit 100% watching it on Task Manager.

It could very well be over heating. Try running it with the side panel of the case off, and a fan blowing air into the case and see what happens. You can also try to re-seat the card into the slot as it my have a loose connection.
