Title: 108 guests???
Post by: bilbous on June 29, 2007, 10:54:36 pm
What the heck is with that? People don't like to be logged in? Is there some security risk associated with the login cookie that I am not aware of? Is someone showing off PS at a conference and demonstrating the forum? It seems odd, not wrong just odd, to me.

Let me amend this post a bit:

Welcome Guests, I hope you enjoy your stay!

Meh, I've seen it at around 60-100 guests constantly on during this time frame for weeks now.  :)

I don't login when I'm sure there is no PM and that I'm not going to post anything at all, and I guess there are many lurkers (http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/lurker.htm) around too.

The only times I log in is after I clear my cookies, the rest of the time the cookie takes care of it.

My explanation ...

not everyone who plays PS has an account here ... but many want to read what's going on.  Unless you feel the urge to post, there's no real need for a SN/login.  -shrug-
