Please take a look at the Player Guide and the Quick-Start Guide found on the website, as well as the "Guides and Tutorials" section within this forum.

Greetings!

Do you know what a roleplaying game is? This is where you start, with roleplaying.
And with roleplaying find someone in the game, who can explain things to you, both IG and OOC.

With kind regards
Kaityra

Hmm, I try to have a medieval accent/talk in this game?  I have played other games but not one for sole role playing.  I will take a look at the player guide forums and look a bit more in depth with the Newbie Guide.  I have problems with the Tutorial also. It tells me to go and examine a thug and I did, then it didn't let me go any further.

You have the choice:

a) You can level your different skills, learn mining and crafting to make money, learn fighting to raise your experience.
b) You can try to solve all the quests the developers invented - which may require a) at some level.
c) You can more or less ignore game mechanics, and instead make yourself an interesting character with a story, play it, and find friends and foes.

Here you have 100%. Take them, and spread them among those possibilities, as you prefer. ;)
