Title: Cannot start the game

Hi guys


I just created an account, downloaded and installed the game. I created a character and everything went fine. Then i wanted to log in into the world, but at about 1/3 of the loarding screen, i get an error message that the application was terminated in an unusual way (microsoft c++ compiler).  This happens every time i want to login. Im running PS under winxp sp2. What is this and what can i do about it. I want to join the PS community as soon as possible  :)

what's your system specs?  are your drivers up to date?  have you tried rebooting after install?

This sounds like the problem I've got, but mine loads about 95% then just closes. No error messages.  I have removed, rebooted and reinstalled then rebooted, that might work for you but it idn't for me.

I'm running PS on an Athlon64 5200+ with 2GB DDR2 (PC800) RAM (everything non-overclocked) under winxp sp2. All my system drivers are up to date, and i have never experienced problems or crashes with my software so far  :(.

i just solved the problem like the other poster in this forum here (just disabled the "load all maps" option in the setup)  :)
