The server appears to be up at the moment, so 1) check that you have version 0.3.019 of the game, and 2) make sure that if you have a firewall or router, UDP port 7777 is enabled for the server.
-
I have a router and I have the last version what I must make?
-
Check your router's guide or manual on how to enable ports for certain applications. The steps are different from router to router because of different models, so we can't give you exact directions. You can try using Google to find instructions for your router type.

thanks a lot, I will try

:o ..The server is down for a couple of minutes every now and then!
Before you try to alter firewall, routers, ISP-settings, ..., check if you have the same problem with other online applications like downloader, internett / online / streaming radio etc..

I got the same. I have version 0.3.018 or something like that. Why dont I have the latest version? I only downloaded it this afternoon. Where can I download the patch for the latest version.
Sorry Im a noob.
-
I don't believe the mirrors have been updated to the new client yet, so if you downloaded it from one of them (that is, not using bit torrent), you got an out of date version.
Good new is, all you have to do is run the updater and it should patch you to the new client version, as I read the updater is up and running.
-
The updater wont work either. it says something about how it cant connect then it exits......
-
The updater is probably just good for updating an existing client version, and not for installing a newer client version. Am I right?
I red earlier somewhere in the forums that you have to uninstall v0.018, before you install v0.019. look around and you will probably find it. ;)
I don't know if you still have to reinstall, but it's probably the best and fastest way of doing it anyways.
-
as far as i know right now you can use the updater to update if you had .018 or if you have .019 you can run the updater to get any minor fixes for the client.
-
I've got exactly the same problem. Since using the updater is way too slow, I downloaded the new client, and installed it after having uninstalled the old one. Then I used the updater, as advised above. It updated docs/credits.txt, updaterconfig.xml, pss, psc and failed to update a thing named "up". Maybe that's part of the problem. By the way, I tried a ping on the server through the updater, and it didn't respond (but is this supposed to work?). What should I do now ?
EDIT : It seems that I fixed it. Or that there was no real problem to begin with. The update problem seems to be a Linux-specific one, and has already been adressed, with a way to correct it somehow.

Yeah... I had SO many issues, I got help 4 them all, and I STILL can't play the game because when I go to creat my character (yes, I'm that new) the server finds a way to get an error and cut me off before I can finish and actually start playing. I'm lucky if it even lets me get to the first creat-a-character step. I know it cuts off every now n then anyways, but is it supposed 2 this frequently? :sweatdrop:
-
Can you describe the problem a bit more? What error are you receiving, and at what point exactly?
-
The point at which it happens varies, but it tells me that the server isn't reachable when I go to log in (I assumed that's regular). Other times, it lets me log in, and while I'm creating my character, it stops me and says the server has an error and to try again in 5 minutes. Usually, in 5 min, it hasn't been fixed yet. That's pretty much it, but it always happens. Every single time. Now that I've said that, it'll probably work, but that's my problem. lol
-
Do you have a wireless connection, by any chance?
-
No, I don't have a wireless connection.
