The in-game sketching system seems to be coming along nicely. I think the following additions would be quite useful. Most of these should be possible to implement within the current system.
- Transcribing: A good map with a lot of lines takes a long time to make, even if you already know exactly what goes where. An automated way to copy one map to another would be very useful. Perhaps with a delay based on the number of lines and things on the map, much like there is a delay in repairing items.
- Colouring: Have PageUp/Down change the colour of a selected line. In the current black-and-white it's difficult to show the difference between a road and a river, cliffs, walls etc. in high-scale maps. And with the current system it's not very practical to make dotted or dashed lines.
- Polylines: Change the line command to add further points if a line is currently selected. Delete could remove the latest point, until only a simple line is left, which can be deleted as it is now.
- Polygons: Add a close comand, which connects the endpoint with the startpoint. (Requires polylines)
- Filling: A way to select the colour, or pattern a polygon is painted with. (Requires polygons)
Any comments or improvements on these points?

In-game sketching?
Yes, you can now sketch on the maps. That is.. if you can find one. ;D

Finding a map is easy.Finding a book is hells first punishment for me.

As a tiny addition, could the number of things allowed on a map be raised a bit?
You can work your way through ~200 lines surprisingly easily...

Wow, an ingame paint program! \\o//
But making a map so detailed would be very ooc, your character should be skilled to color it itself instead of just filling it up itself. So maybe just have a pencil tool with different colors.
